2012: The Mayan Calendar

some or probably all more than once we heard in 2012, much has been said about disasters and other things, let's see if it is worth our attention to the Mayan culture. To clarify things a bit I'll start a series of entries with information related to this date.

Well, to begin to know a bit of culture I leave this documentary called Mayan Calendar: Living another time, which takes us into the astrological knowledge of this culture, how could predict such an anticipation of thousands years as astrological events such as eclipses and comets with an accuracy that we have only achieved with the latest advances in modern technology?, and why the Mayan calendar is a better way to live long in comparison to our current Gregorian calendar.

NASA: The Red Planet is not dead. Amazing

That's right, according to NASA, our neighbor planet Mars, it may not be entirely dead. Who knows maybe later surprised us with another ad, such as: "NASA is plant life on the red planet, gradually reveals mystery.

January 15, 2009: The planet Mars today is a cold desert and solitary, seemingly devoid of all life, at least on the surface. Apparently, Mars has been cold and dry for billions of years, and with an atmosphere so thin that any liquid on the surface boil rapidly to evaporate, while the Sun's ultraviolet radiation burns to the ground. The situation may sound a little bleak, but according to a study published today in Science Express there is hope for the Red Planet. According to a team of researchers from NASA and university scientists, the first accurate detection of methane in the Martian atmosphere indicates that the planet is still alive, whether biological or geological sense.

declassify their UFO files.

Danish Air Force recently opened its UFO files, providing information to the public on more than 15 000 reports of UFO sightings. The documents are available for consultation, detailing all the cases reported in the last 30 years. Danish Official

published some of the files on the internet because there was nothing assessed in secret documents. The military reported that most sightings remains explained. But this is because, say, insufficient data and evidence. Ie, they are not identified because the reports are incomplete, but not because it involves a mystery.

However, some of the stories archived in the files contain a satisfactory description to determine if a UFO was a weather phenomenon, a paper aircraft or balloons.

There is a case that arouses interest, occurred in Greenland, on January 5, 2001, to 12:50 hrs. A bright object with a square, was seen about 45 degrees above the frozen ground, near Thule Air Base. The UFO disappeared very quickly. Coincidentally, the radar station at the U.S. base, recorded an unidentified flying object on their radar to 12:50 hrs.

Captain Thomas Petersen, who has knowledge of the archives, said that all unexplained sightings are aimed at Scandinavian UFO Center. He concluded that the main mission of the Air Force is to defend Denmark against the invaders, and that UFOs are not a known threat.

study establishes that there are varieties of soybean comvencionales better than transgenic. International debacle

Good news for the agricultural world:

study University of Missouri clearly states that no conventional soybean varieties whose production costs are lower than GM soy even though equal in performance.
Monsanto genetically modified soybeans to tolerate the herbicide (Roundup) to guarantee sales of seeds and chemicals. But greed can and the price of Roundup has been multiplied by three, a fact that directly affects the profitability of GM soy. One of the risks of relying on a single company has been established.
At the same time, the University report indicates that farmers that and add a conventional herbicide Roundup to control "bad" herbs that appear in the soybean crop because some of those have already incorporated the same tolerance to Roundup the crop, either GM contamination either by evolutionary dynamics, another risk warned long ago. Why planting Roundup Ready soybeans is effective even if their genetic modification?
also being patented its Roundup Ready, Monsanto imposed on the people who planted a waiver to save seed from their crops for the next planting. Each bag of seed costs about $ 40 (32 euros), when historically farmers and soybean farmers from saving seeds and save much money. Economic risk patenting of seeds has also been widely reported and is another reason why farmers and farmers now back to conventional varieties, since they can save seed ... and money.
Finally, there are companies that offer bonuses to their sector to buy non-GM soybean harvest due to high demand for it in third countries. The premium is up to a dollar more than the marked price of soybeans in the Chicago market, which also prompted a return to conventional soybeans.
