declassify their UFO files.
Danish Air Force recently opened its UFO files, providing information to the public on more than 15 000 reports of UFO sightings. The documents are available for consultation, detailing all the cases reported in the last 30 years. Danish Official
published some of the files on the internet because there was nothing assessed in secret documents. The military reported that most sightings remains explained. But this is because, say, insufficient data and evidence. Ie, they are not identified because the reports are incomplete, but not because it involves a mystery.
However, some of the stories archived in the files contain a satisfactory description to determine if a UFO was a weather phenomenon, a paper aircraft or balloons.
There is a case that arouses interest, occurred in Greenland, on January 5, 2001, to 12:50 hrs. A bright object with a square, was seen about 45 degrees above the frozen ground, near Thule Air Base. The UFO disappeared very quickly. Coincidentally, the radar station at the U.S. base, recorded an unidentified flying object on their radar to 12:50 hrs.
Captain Thomas Petersen, who has knowledge of the archives, said that all unexplained sightings are aimed at Scandinavian UFO Center. He concluded that the main mission of the Air Force is to defend Denmark against the invaders, and that UFOs are not a known threat.
